POSITION OVERVIEW
CO/STUDIOS is seeking a hybrid Creative Director / Strategist who leads with writing to support brand and venture initiatives across the platform. This role blends strategic thinking with creative execution—responsible for defining positioning, shaping narratives, and delivering high-quality creative work.
The Creative Director / Strategist will operate across multiple ventures, partnering closely with leadership and operators to lead brand foundation sprints, define positioning, and translate strategy into clear, compelling storytelling. This role requires someone who can both build the strategic foundation and execute against it through writing—ranging from high-level narratives to headlines and key messaging.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy & Positioning
- Lead brand foundation sprints to define positioning, messaging frameworks, and narrative systems across CO/STUDIOS ventures
- Translate market, cultural, and business insights into clear strategic direction
- Develop and refine brand positioning, value propositions, and communication principles
Creative Direction & Writing
- Concept and direct creative initiatives across brand, campaign, and content workstreams
- Write and develop key materials including brand platforms, websites, pitch decks, campaigns, and editorial content
- Ensure consistency, clarity, and quality across all written and creative outputs
Venture & Brand Development
- Partner with venture teams to integrate brand and storytelling into product, growth, and go-to-market strategies
- Support early-stage brand building as well as evolution of existing ventures
- Align creative output with broader business and growth objectives
Content & Communications
- Develop and oversee content strategies across owned and partner channels
- Create and refine investor, sales, and brand storytelling materials
- Maintain consistency in voice and narrative across all communications
Collaboration & Execution
- Work closely with designers, operators, and external collaborators to bring ideas to life
- Present strategic and creative work to internal teams and external stakeholders
- Contribute to new business, pitch development, and opportunity shaping
QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of experience across brand strategy, creative direction, copywriting, or related fields
- Strong writing portfolio demonstrating both strategic thinking and creative execution
- Experience leading brand foundation or positioning work
- Ability to move seamlessly between high-level strategy and hands-on writing (including headlines and core messaging)
- Strong communication, presentation, and storytelling skills
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across disciplines
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
